During these last couple weeks Almon and I have gotten a chance to meet with some influential mentors and people in the biz. They have re-confirmed our belief in three things: It’s not what you know, it’s who you know, you need discipline to get there because it’s not easy and, the best for last ,you need MONEY! If you can’t put up the money yourself your going to need a major promotion team behind you, or basically a record label. Also, they re-confirmed my belief that it only takes 30% talent to make it and the rest is just a money game! Knowing a lot of the stuff we have learned going into this business it could get an artist down. There is so much backwards crap! So, with all that said, I still want to be an artist. What can I say, I love the journey, I love the lessons and I love proving to myself that I can do it. Also, I love having the knowledge to share with future entrepreneurs. I still wonder what would have happened if I would of went into another job.
I hope that if your not loving what you are doing now you find a way to get out!
Have any of you regretted your career choice? Did you find out early or later in life?
