For my new Years resolution I wanted to start my year out with a cleanse. Since I have already done the lemon one I decided to take a friends advice and try the juice cleanse. With the juice cleanse you have to have a juicer and all day you have about 3-4 glasses of 10oz of juice. All consisting only of fruits and veggies. The fruit juices give you the energy you need in the morning and the green veggie juices are for night so you do not intake all that sugar before bed. The juice cleanse was amazing. It brought me back to eating veggies, most I have never actually eaten and the rest haven’t ate since who knows when( bad me)! I realized how much nutrition I’ve been missing in all these essential veggies. As soon as you make the juice you are immediately supposed to drink it, that is when the juice is fresh and all the vitamins are essential at that time! Here is an amazing thing that happened during my cleanse, everyone at my work had gotten sick, this sickness was bad to, it had went around for about a month to everyone. And here is the crazy thing, I didn’t get sick!! I usually always get sick! And I wasn’t even eating! Goes to show you how much nutrients you are getting in that juice! Also, I haven’t been sick since, and I have changed my eating habits. I am not a full on vegetarian but I’m eating 80%veggies/fruits 20%meat, and the meat that I am eating is grass fed beef, organic fish and chicken. My weight loss was 8lbs after cleanse and an additional 6lbs that month. I am heading for my lifestyle goal weight, my weight I want to be all my life, not just a goal I am trying to get to now but a weight I choose to stay. With my new refreshed outlook on food it will happen. I think about how I was raised with cheeses and carbs and meat and MCDONALDS! It was all so wrong and keeping me chunky the entire time!
We all do things at our own pace. Whatever you chose to do, it’s your body and your choice. It’s taken me a while to figure out this is where I want to be and trust me, I still crave that Sourdough Jack like it’s goin out of style!!
How many of you were McDonalds or Jack in the Box baby’s? Are you still?
