How I love the city of New York. The energy, the views, the food! I went to New York with a couple friends this last week and enjoyed myself to the max! I was a total tourist, taking pics wherever I went and experiencing all the museums and sights. I also went for business and got some great feedback. We were able to talk with a top management company and are keeping our fingers crossed, as they were very interested! Happy I got this accomplished as well as enjoying the city!
I was so excited to see the Museum of Natural History, I felt like a little kid saying,” dinosaurs, I have to see the dinosaurs!! The museum was amazing, as well as the others I got a chance to see. I love just walking around, you walk for miles and don’t even notice because you are entranced by the city. Another cool adventure was heading up north with my good friend Thomas, and seeing his brothers ranch. It was a beautiful 75 acres out in the middle of nowhere! I hung out on a hammock, ate yummy food and had some great meditation/reading time. We stayed for a day, and then headed back to the city.
People always talk about how hard and unfriendly New York is, let me tell ya, that is a huge myth. Everytime I have been to the city everyone has always been polite and helpful. I am happy to say I saw great acts of kindness, people giving up their subway seats to the elderly, people helping a blind man when he lost his cane, people giving me directions and advice with no problem! So, as far I’m concerned the hard unfriendly New York is a myth, well at least in Mnhattan. So if you have been afraid to go to the city because of myths, don’t listen!
I’m happy we got there on a perfect week, the weather was beautiful and the trees were all shades of color! It’s always great to get out of your zone and experience another place. Each has it’s own beauty and it’s nice to find out what you appreciate about each.
Travel Tip: If you are going to New York or another major city check out www.citypass.com, it is a great way to see a ton of stuff at about half the price!
Happy travels!
