I have to say this was one of the best trips of my life! What a great way to see D.C. for my first time, with tours,great dining and a fabulous room at the Ritz! This trip was hosted by Shamrock Foods for all their top customers/staff. They do a fabulous trip like this every year, always in a different place. I was invited by my great friend the Culinary Comedian, Thomas Smith. We felt like we were in a movie! And we even jumped on the beds after arriving at the Ritz! ha ha! We had been talking about doing that forever, so we did! Luckily we didn't break the beds, that would of sucked!
We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast every morning and Shamrock took us somewhere fabulous every day. One of the most amazing spots was the National Museum of American History. Shamrock rented out the whole place just for us and the spread was beautiful. They used all three stories of the museum to entertain and feed us with amazing food and party fun!
Our last two days were spent playing Texas Hold 'Em Poker (where I won third place as a new comer!) and attending a fabulous ball at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium! This was most definitely a trip of a lifetime, but also a great reminder that we all can and should be treated this way, take fabulous trips and do what we love! It can be accomplished, it might take some time, it might take some work, but this and anything you want is possible!
